The White QD 601 Super Enamel 1Ltr from HiChem is specifically designed for superior protection and exceptional adhesion. It's durable, long-lasting and offers superior protection against corrosion, chemicals and humidity. This enamel is also easy to clean, making it ideal for use in both residential and commercial settings.
HICHEM QD601 SUPER ENAMEL is a high gloss air drying spraying enamel based on a blend of alkyd resins. It exhibits excellent durability corrosion resistance and gloss retention properties. QD601 SUPER ENAMEL is used for interior and exterior surfaces on machinery, equipment, structural steel, sheet metal, maintenance and new building construction projects. It is used on a variety of surfaces including metals, timber, particle board, and concrete, after suitable substrate preparation and the application of a suitable primer/undercoat.
READ ALL DIRECTIONS BEFORE BEGINNING PROJECT. Painting Conditions: Use outdoors or in a well-ventilated area such as an open garage. Use when temperature is between 10°C and 32°C and humidity is below 65% to ensure proper drying. Avoid application in very windy, dusty conditions. Mask off surrounding areas to avoid overspray.
Preparation: Mild steel: Remove rust, old and scaling paintwork and thoroughly clean with PREPWASH. Apply STRUCTURAL PRIMER ENAMEL PRIMER SURFACER or SUPER ETCH PRIMER. Non-ferrouS substrates, such as aluminium, zinc-alum and galvanised steel should first be abraded using a Medium or Coarse ABRASIVE HAND PAD. Clean with PREPWASH. Then apply one light even coat of SUPER ETCH PRIMER. Timber: Sand and remove dust. Apply ALL SURFACE PRIMER Concrete Thoroughly clean with detergent and rinse with high pressure water. May require acid wash and water rinse. Allow to completely dry. Aged lacquer and enamel: Remove loose and flaking paint. Remove all gloss by sanding with 240-400 grit abrasive paper. Clean with PREPWASH.
Thinning: For spray application thin with up to 20% ENAMEL THINNER E250. When temperature > 20°C, or when spraying larger areas, use Application: Use suction feed or gravity feed spray gun with 1.4-2.0 mm tip. Apply 2-3 double header coats allowing 10-15 minutes flash
MINERAL TURPS. off time between coats at 20°C.
Dry and Recoat times: Touch dry in 20-30 minutes. Hard dry 24 hours, Recoat after 2 hours. Based on 20°C and 50% relative humidity. Clean up: Use MOTOSPRAY ENAMEL THINNER E250 or MINERAL TURPS Storage: Keep container tightly closed. Store in a cool, dry well
